Igtham Mote's extensive and beautiful 14-acre garden has undergone a major restoration programme since the National Trust opened the house and grounds in 1985, preserving the sense of tranquillity for which it is famed.

One of England's most romantic gardens surrounding a 14th Century moated castle ruin. Azaleas and rhododendrons flower in abundance. Roses and clematis adorn the castle walls. Autumn colours merge the garden with the woodlands beyond.
